Ron Jackson has always been passionate about two things; Super heroes and science. Forever wondering about the complexities of these heroes and their powers, he buried himself in encyclopedias, text books and newspapers pertaining to super-humans every chance that he had.

In high school Ron excelled at all scientific courses and found himself with a full scholarship when he graduated to the University of Colorado at Boulder. He had finally found a place where he could cultivate his passion and curiosity. For fun, Ron would often look for ways to scientifically explain various heroes' abilities and powers and was especially envious and fond of Blaque Stallion's (Blaque Stallion was a hero who disappeared around the '70s) ability to move like lightning. To this end, Ron developed his groundbreaking theories on kinetic energy, quantum physics and teleportation as related to super-human abilities.

Upon his graduation from CU-Boulder he signed on with Omega Corp as an intern for two reasons. One because of their research facilities and in depth knowledge of super human anatomy and two because he hoped to test his own theory of teleportation and lacked the means to do so on his own. After a few short months working for Omega Corp, he finally got his chance as they signed him on as a regular research scientist and assigned him to the quantum teleportation research department.

A year later the government put out a call to all research facilities in a bid to get a working teleporter for military purposes. Omega wanted to be the first to finish and they put Ron in charge of the project and wanted a working teleporter out of him within a few months. Even with the technology at his disposal he knew this wasn't quite possible but he was determined to at least get close. So he set out to complete the task.

Utilizing various theories about kinetic energy he crafted a machine that was able to pull ambient bits of kinetic speed energy from the air in order to power the device. Next with the assistance of another Omega Corp prodigy by the name of Jacob Reinhold he began work on the device which would in effect deconstruct a person or object at the sub-atomic level and recombinate them elsewhere completely intact.

Ron and Jacob came remarkably close to completing the device but Jacob had no intention of letting Ron actually finish it. Ron had rightfully taken most of the credit for building the device and if they actually finished it Ron would be the new golden child of Omega Corp effectively ending Jacob's run, he was not going to let that happen.

Late one night while Ron was tinkering with the device, Jacob entered the lab while Ron was on a coffee break and set the kinetic energy engine on max. When Ron came back and finished his tinkering he decided to try the machine out neglecting to check the power settings. Activating the machine he managed to actually deconstruct his atoms but the machine overloaded and exploded as they were in the process of recombinating.

The machine was totaled and Ron was rushed to the hospital where he laid for a few weeks in a coma. Waking up he found that he had lost his job at Omega but gained something else magnificent. One day while on his morning jog he exploded in a burst of speed and found himself several miles away in what seemed like a few seconds. Ron theorized that when the machine exploded as his atoms were recombinating every particle of his body was tainted with pure kinetic speed energy and gave him abilities that defied explanation. That energy covered him in a kinetic speed field that allows him to travel at insane speeds, enhances his reflexes a thousand fold, and even allows him alter his perception of time. Just like his favorite super hero, Blaque Stallion.

Knowing that Omega and any other scientific research facility he became affiliated with would identify the metahuman powers in his genes upon the meta-scan (required for all personnel at any research facility to determine where one would be placed on the staff) he retired all together from scientific research and settled down in the area where the original Blaque Stallion was rumored to have operated. North River City. There he became a Physics Teacher at North River High School.

Despite his love of the super hero mythos, at first it never occurred to him to actually use his abilities to fight crime. Sure if a mugging or something happened in plain view of him he would take the criminal down at super speed and then disappear. But he never actively set out to fight crime. And of course he didn't really need to because as soon as Blaque Stallion had disappeared North River had become a decidedly quiet place. That is until Joe "Lucky" Luciano came to town.

Luciano saw North River as a perfect place to set up his criminal operations. It was big enough to support his empire yet small and quiet enough that he would find little resistance if any setting up his machinations. Luciano moved in fast and furiously saturating the city with drugs and turning a great place into a disgusting hell hole within months. Ron took notice of this as he saw it affecting the high school. Students came to school strung out and fights erupted on a daily basis as different gangs and factions shot up like wildfire in a bid to control parts of the city. This was when Ron knew he had to do something.

Using his old connections at Omega Corp with a young woman known as Rebecca Charles, Ron borrowed a number of items from the lab in order to stage his war on crime. Taking the items back to his home he tunneled out an underground area at super speed and built a lab/base of operations under his home hidden below the basement. This is where he would construct the super suit that he would use to fight crime, monitor the police band (when not in uniform) and create whatever devices he might need to fight crime and research his abilities.

He loosely fashioned his costume after the uniform that the old Blaque Stallion used to wear (preferring a sleeker look) and he went to the streets. Like a whirlwind he moved in on the gangs in the city and within a few months he had "Lucky" and his boys on the run. But Luciano was not about to give up months and months of planning due to the Stallion. To this end Luciano began hiring from outside of his usual network employing super powered mercenaries, crazies, and other gangs in an attempt to take down Blaque Stallion once and for all. For a while it seemed as if Luciano might actually succeed in taking back his territory. That is until Blaque Stallion found a new ally in Blaque Stallion III, then known as Kid Colt. 

After recruiting Devon Johnson in his war on crime as Kid Colt, he and Ron would run roughshod over the villains in North River for years until the Rikti Invasion of 2002. Ron would end up seemingly sacrificing his life in the Rikti War and Devon would eventually become the new Blaque Stallion of North River City and continue to operate independently for years. That is until Ron mysteriously returned from the grave a few months ago. Somehow he had survived the sacrifice he made for the world. Ron and Devon are still trying to unlock the secret of Ron's mysterious return.

Metahuman Powers: The kinetic speed energy that tainted Ron's body covered him in a kinetic energy speed field that allows him to move with the swiftness of lightning, enhances his reflexes a thousand fold, and even lets him alter his perception of time. Ron can also move so fast that he can cheat gravity, hit an enemy a thousand times before they can blink and also propel himself through the air for a short amount of time. Ron can also use this field to enhance his resistance to mind control, telepathy, and things like force fields, extreme heat and cold that would stop a normal person well, cold. The field can also be expanded to protect whomever he may be carrying at the time. Over time with continued use of this ability Ron's body has adapted to the rigors of super speed travel as well giving him more efficient respiratory and cardiovascular systems enhanced strength, stamina, agility and reflexes. If his speed field fails his body is still able to withstand friction and the stresses of high speed travel. Unfortunately that does not include his passengers.

Other Special Skills & Abilities: Ron Jackson is an accomplished physicist as well as an expert on the history and mythology of super heroes. Due to his super speed abilities he has also managed to master several martial arts techniques that he uses as well as a number of speed tricks.

Special Limitations: Speedsters generally lack any real vertical movement or long range weapons and are at a disadvantage when facing off against fliers. Objects on the ground such as caltrops, spikes, quick sand, etc can also impede their maneuverability. The Stallions rely on speed and avoiding attacks rather than plowing through them with invulnerability and super strength.

Notable Equipment: The main tool that Ron uses to fight crime is his High Velocity Super Suit. Ron can move at just below the speed of sound without damaging his clothing due to the kinetic aura that surrounds his body. But any faster and his clothes will fall apart. Because of this he constructed a suit that would stand up to the high velocities that he normally reaches. Heat Reflexive and Heat Radiant as well as aerodynamically sound in every way, the suit is a work of art. Built into the cowl is a visor to protect his eyes from the shifting of light as he nears light speed, as well as infrared heat sensors, and night vision to allow him to navigate dark areas without killing himself. A police band is also built in as well as a comm device to communicate with other heroes.
